HUSBAND: I'm home! Something smells good....
LITA: Welcome home, honey! I cooked up a feast for our 1 year wedding anniversary!
HUSBAND: Cool. I can't wait! I brought you your favorite -- pink roses.
LITA: Thanks! I'm so happy!
HUSBAND: Hey, Lita, it smells like something's burning.
LITA: Oh, honey, you know I'd never let my food burn. I don't smell any...
[Lita wakes up and jumps to her feet.]
LITA: Oh shoot!
[She pulls a burnt meatloaf out of the oven.]
LITA: Sheesh... *sniff* A dream... That was close! Lita's "special meatloaf" is ready.
LITA: (narrating) I'm Lita. 15 years old. I love bargain hunting and cooking. I can't stand....
[One the TV, an airplane soars by.]
TV: Take off on Western Air!
LITA: Ewww!
[Lita jumps behind the curtains.]
LITA: (narrating) Airplanes. I'm too fragile.
LITA: Oops! It was the TV. I can't stand the sounds of airplanes.
[5:00 pm; the doorbell rings.]
LITA: Coming!
[She opens the door.]
LITA: (narrating) We're all studying for high school entrance exams.
[Outside stands Bunny, Mina, Raye, and Amy.]
BUNNY: Lita! We're here!
LITA: Come on in!
LITA: (narrating) So we decided that once a week, under Amy's guidance we'd study together. This is a diary of the emotional ups and downs of our exam cram!!
?: Wow....! Your house looks even lovelier than the last time I was here....!
LITA: Have some tea.
?: These tea cups are so cute!
RAYE: It smells good! Is this herbal tea?
BUNNY: It's good!
LITA: Really? That's chamomile tea. It relaxes you and lets you sleep well.
AMY: *glare* Sleep well?! That's not good! We had enough tea. Come on! Let's start cranking!!
[The five girls sit around the table, studying. Soon, Lita's eyes start to droop and she starts to squirm.]
LITA: Hey.... Aren't you girls hungry?
[She brings over a tray of food.]
?: Wow...! It looks delicious!!
?: I bet it took you a while to prepare!
LITA: Just one night.
AMY: The entire night?! Lita!! It'll affect your studying!! Don't go overboard like this!
LITA: Okay. But I really wanted everybody to eat well.
BUNNY: Oh, Lita....
[A plane soars across the TV.]
TV: Take off on Western Air!
LITA: Ewwww!
[Lita jumps behind the curtains again.]
?: Lita?!
LITA: Oh, a commercial.... I'm sorry everyone. I just can't stand airplanes. My parents died in an airplane crash when I was little. So it really makes me happy to see everyone eating my home cooking together like a family.
BUNNY: Oh, Lita....
MINA: I'm so proud of you....
[The clock strikes eleven.]
?: Oh my gosh! It's already 11:00!
LITA: I'm sorry! Come over for dinner again, ok!
[The four girls leave.]
BUNNY, MINA, & RAYE: Come over for dinner?
RAYE: What did we come here for?
AMY: Oh my god!! I can't believe this!! I didn't even get half of my studying done!
[Later, Lita holds a rag and looks around her shiny clean kitchen.]
LITA: Yes! I'm finally done cleaning! Shoot! It's already 1:00 AM.
[She climbs into bed.]
LITA: A study group every week until March.... Well, I've got Amy on my side so the exam shouldn't be that rough!
[The next day, Lita looks down at her test with a score of 40 written on the top.]
LITA: *weep*
AMY: Lita, how was your test?
[Amy holds her test, which holds a score of 100.]
AMY: Lita, you've got to study harder!
LITA: I knew it, but still....
[Lita goes to the Art Club room.]
LITA: Hi....
STUDENT: Oh, Lita? What are you doing here? I thought 9th graders couldn't hang out because of exams.
LITA: I forgot,
[Lita leans against the wall.]
LITA: Sniff.... I hate these exams!!
BOYS: *chatter chatter*
[Later on, Bunny and Lita are trying some of Unazuki's tea.]
UNAZUKI: See? Isn't it tasty?
BUNNY & LITA: It's soooo sour!! *lips puckered*
UNAZUKI: It's really good for you. It's hibiscus tea. If you drink it while you're studying, it'll keep you awake.
LITA: Even Amy would approve. Where can we buy it?
[Unazuki takes then to a small store and they go inside.]
GIRL: It's so cute!
GIRLS: *chatter*
?: Wow! I never knew there was such a cute store in Crossroads!
[Unazuki was talking to a sales woman.]
UNAZUKI: Sold out?
SALES WOMAN: I'm sorry....
UNAZUKI: Hmph! They should get some on. Jeez!
BUNNY: Ah.... Lita really likes this stuff.
[Lita is going crazy looking at all the items in the store.]
LITA: Oh my god!! This cushion is soooo cute!! This music box is adorable! Oh, look at those earrings!!
[The three girls return to the Fruits Crown Parlor.]
LITA: I've been dreaming of going out for tea or stopping by cute stores on my way home. But I can't 'cuz of this exam!! Ahh!! I just want to have some tea with my friends!
UNAZUKI: Lita! If you indeed get into high school, you can drink all the tea you want. You can do it!
[Unazuki is already a proud high schooler.]
LITA: You're right!
[Another night, the Lita's doorbell rings. She opens the door for Amy, Bunny, Raye, and Mina.]
BUNNY: Time to study!
MINA: Lita!
AMY: Hi.
LITA: Hey guys!
[They sit down and start studying, but soon Lita's eyes start to droop and she starts to squirm.]
LITA: Hey, you guys! How about some tea?
[She gets up to head for the kitchen, but Amy stops her.]
AMY: Lita... Today I brought some green tea. I'll pour the tea, so Lita, you can continue studying.
LITA: *weep* (thinking) Meanie....
AMY: Hang in there girls!
BUNNY: But...
BUNNY & MINA: *whiff* Mm...
MINA: (thinking) This smell...
LITA: Hey.... It's time for dinner!
[She brings out a plate of food.]
AMY: Whaaaat!!
?: What's with this gourmet course?
AMY: Lita!!
LITA: Ahh.... I'm sorry!! I spent another night cooking....!
AMY: Lita Cup o' Noodles is enough! Don't spend your time cooking, when you should be studying!! I brought five cans!
MINA: Yeah, Lita! You'll be a fat Sailor Scour if you keep on eating like this. Is that what you want? You too, Bunny?!
BUNNY: *eating* Yum yum. Huh?
LITA: A fat Sailor Scout??
[Amy wipes her finger across a sparkling clean counter.]
AMY: Lita.... Not a pinch of dust.... What's with this super clean room?
LITA: Oops. Actually, that took 2 days....
AMY: And.... Come to think of it, your room has more things than last time....
LITA: Uh-oh.
RAYE: Shopping after school, huh?
LITA & BUNNY: Ahhhh!! We're sorry!!
LITA: Maybe... I'm not cut out... for high school. Studying for exams... isn't really for me. The more I think about studying, the more tea I want, and the more I want to cook, clean, and buy pretty things for the house!!
BUNNY: Yeah! And I wanna watch TV and read comic books!!
LITA: I just want a simple life of cooking, tea, flowers, and pretty things... *weep*
AMY: (from behind a Sociology textbook) Lita. That's... just an escape!!
[Lita collapses in shock. Raye catches her.]
RAYE: She's dead.
BUNNY: (waving her hand in front of Lita's face) Can you hear me?
AMY: Come on! There's no time to be dead. We've got to study.
MINA: Amy!
[Outside the tea store, a girl in a robe appears.]
S. CAPE: Aha! I am the spirit of this shop. I'm China's 400-year-old secret, S. Cape! Mmm... The sweet smell filling the air.... Young escapists come in and out of this sweet shop. This sweet scent shall capture them!
[Lita looks down at another test which has a 50 written on the top.]
BUNNY: Lita! Hey, you scored higher! You did it!
[Bunny holds her test which reads 35.]
LITA: Thanks, but it's still a fail.
BELL: *rinnng*
[Lita walks home from school.]
LITA: My point went up but I'm not happy, and I don't feel well either. Ahh! I wanna go and have some tea and shop, but I have to study!
[A fragrance floats through the air.]
LITA: Something smells so good. Oh, my feet....
[She passes the tea store.]
LITA: Wow!! A sale?!
[Lita goes inside.]
S. CAPE: Welcome!!
LITA: A sale!? A sale?!
S. CAPE: You're a very lucky girl to catch this big sale! We have special herbal tea bags, Chinese scones, brownies, all just $1!
LITA: Really?! I'll take it all!
S. CAPE: Thank you for shopping here!! hee hee.
LITA: I'm so happy!
[The other girls are walking down the street.]
BUNNY: Amy's just too picky!!
AMY: Shakespeare said "We shall rise to heaven with wings of knowledge." Never be afraid of learning! We're going to study together and get into high school!
RAYE: But Beacon once said, "Lazy is one who spends too much time in academics."
BUNNY & MINA: (thinking) Bacon? Mmm... sounds tasty.
[Raye's eyes widen as she senses something.]
RAYE: Hm? Evil!
BUNNY: What?!
[Raye points to the tea store.]
RAYE: I sense something from that store!
[She points to three people leaving.]
RAYE: They're acting strange!
BUNNY: That's the store Lita always goes to!
[The girls go inside and spot Lita sitting at a table eating the food she bought.]
LITA: Ah! I'm in heaven. That was so good! I don't care if I become a fat Sailor Scout or I don't go to high school! *hiccup hiccup*
BUNNY: Lita?!
[Lita collapses on the floor.]
RAYE: What's this evil aura?!
BUNNY: Ahh!! Lita?!
[The spirit S. Cape appears.]
S. CAPE: I'm S. Cape, spirit of this store. This girlie!! Lita!
RAYE: SHE's the evil aura?!
[Bunny holds Lita.]
BUNNY: Don't die!!! Lita!! We're gonna be high schoolers, wear cool clothes, party and get boyfriends!! We're going to high school, Lita!!
[Lita's eyes open.]
LITA: That's right! I remember! You're right! Jupiter Planet Power Make-UP!!
[Lita transforms into Sailor Jupiter.]
SAILOR JUPITER: I have yet to experience my high school girl life!! Jupiter Coconuts Cyclone!!
S. CAPE: Ahhh!!
[The spirit is destroyed.]
SAILOR MOON: All right, Jupiter!
SAILOR JUPITER: I'm back! And I won't lose!
[Sailor Jupiter collapses again.]
?: Jupiter?!
SAILOR JUPITER: I kicked the Enemy's butt and I'll do the same for my exams! *hick hick*
SAILOR MERCURY: Jupiter! You still have studying to do!
SAILOR MARS: Was there alcohol in this herbal tea or what?
SAILOR VENUS: Well, at least the Enemy's gone.
SAILOR JUPITER: Honey, I want a rose-shaped ring for my present... *hick hick*
[That spring a photo shows Lita standing in front of her new school. Crossroads High.]
